Satan Press

Clevelanders Joe & Reuben Sturman created an empire based on deviant sex, controlling every aspect of pornographic media distribution from publishing to selling the wicked goods in their own chain of bookstores. Satan Press was but a sliver of that splendidly Godless empire but it will come as no surprise that it was the Sturman imprint dearest to our black hearts. After all, each volume bore the cameo of our most-revered Angel of Light. Of course Satan Press authors such as A. de Granamour & Arlene Gorley posed no threat to the literary primacy of Gabriele D'Annunzio or Harry Crosby, but often the gutter charm, half-cocked purple prose & these utterly unassailable covers, more than compensated for the lack of high-minded craft.
